World and Olympic champion and former 110m world record holder Liu Xiang of China could yet make a return to competition this season at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix. The 26-year-old, who captured 110m hurdles gold at Athens 2004, has not competed since hobbling out of the heats at the Beijing Olympics last summer with an Achilles injury.
